Return Window
We want you to feel confident about your purchase. Here's our return timeframe:
30 days from delivery (for online orders)
30 days from purchase date (for in-store purchases)

Eligibility Conditions
To qualify for a return, items must meet the following conditions:
What We Need:
- Unused and in original condition – The item should look like it just came out of the box
- Original packaging intact – Please keep all boxes, wrapping, and protective materials
- Tags and labels attached – For clothing and accessories, original tags should be present and uncut
- All included items – Return everything that came with the product (instruction manuals, gifts, samples, etc.)
If an item shows signs of use, has been altered, or is missing original components, we may not be able to process the return. But please don't worry—if there's any issue with quality or condition, just reach out and let's chat about it.
Non-Returnable Items
Some items are final sale due to their nature. Here's what cannot be returned:
Food & Perishables
Baklava, lokum (Turkish delight), coffee, tea, spices, and other food items cannot be returned for safety and hygiene reasons. Exception: If the item arrives damaged or defective, we'll replace it or issue a refund.
Opened Personal Care
Vegan soaps, skincare products, and other personal care items cannot be returned once opened or used for health and safety reasons.
Custom & Personalized Items
Items that have been customized, monogrammed, or personalized specifically for you cannot be returned. These are made just for you!
Sale & Clearance Items
Items purchased during clearance sales or marked as final sale may have limited or no return options. We'll always note this clearly at the time of purchase.

Handmade & Artisan Items
One of the things we love most about 5th Tree is our collection of handmade and artisan pieces. Each one is crafted with care, often by artisans using traditional techniques. Because of this, these items are truly one-of-a-kind.
What This Means for Your Purchase:
Slight variations in color, texture, pattern, and size are not defects—they're proof of authenticity. Things like minor color variations in hand-dyed fabrics, small differences in hand-painted designs, or subtle variations in handcrafted jewelry are all part of what makes these pieces special and unique to you.
We carefully inspect all artisan items before they ship or are sold to ensure they meet our quality standards. If you receive a piece that has a genuine defect (such as a visible flaw that affects use, broken parts, or significant damage), we absolutely want to make it right.
However, if you're not connected with the piece for other reasons—perhaps it doesn't match your décor or the colors look different than expected—that wouldn't qualify for a return. We recommend reviewing photos and descriptions carefully before purchasing, and if you have questions, reach out to us first!
How to Initiate a Return
Starting a return is simple. Here's what to do:

Receive Return Instructions
We'll respond within 24 business hours with a return authorization and shipping address. This ensures we process your return smoothly.
Pack Your Item
Carefully pack the item in its original packaging (or similar protective packaging). Make sure everything that came with it is included.
Ship It Back
Ship the package to the address we provide using a trackable shipping method. Please keep your tracking number for your records.
Confirmation & Processing
Once we receive and inspect your return, we'll send you a confirmation email and process your refund or exchange.
Tip: Keep all communication and tracking information. This helps us resolve any issues quickly.

Refund Processing Timeline
We process refunds as quickly as possible. Here's the typical timeline:

Total estimated time: 2–4 weeks from the time you request a return to when funds appear in your account. We'll send you confirmation at each step so you always know where your return stands.
Refund Method
Refunds are always processed to your original payment method. Here's how it works:
- Credit/Debit Card: Refund goes back to the same card you used to purchase. This typically takes 3–10 business days depending on your bank.
- Digital Wallet (Apple Pay, Google Pay, etc.): Refund processes to the payment method linked to your wallet.
- In-Store Purchase: If you paid in cash, we'll process a store credit. If you paid by card, the refund goes back to that card.
We cannot process refunds to a different payment method than the original purchase. If you have concerns about how your refund is being processed, please contact your bank—they can help trace the refund on their end.
Exchanges
If you'd like a different size, color, or item instead of a refund, exchanges are a great option!
How to Exchange
The process is simple:
- Email us at 5thtreebazaar@gmail.com with your order number and the item you'd like instead
- We'll confirm availability and provide you with return shipping instructions
- Ship back the original item
- Once we receive and inspect it, we'll ship your new item right away
Exchange Costs
Shipping Costs for Exchanges:
Upgrading to a more expensive item: You pay the difference plus return shipping
Exchanging for a similar price item: We cover the return shipping, you just send it back
Downgrading to a less expensive item: We'll refund the difference and cover return shipping
Exchanges don't reset your return window—you still have from your original purchase date to complete the exchange.
Damaged or Defective Items
We take quality seriously. If your item arrives damaged or is defective, we're here to make it right—no questions asked.
How to Report Damage or Defects
- Document the issue: Take clear photos showing the damage or defect from multiple angles
- Email us immediately: Send photos and a description to 5thtreebazaar@gmail.com along with your order number
- Wait for our response: We'll assess the issue within 24 hours and offer a solution
What Happens Next
Your Options:
- Replacement: We ship you a new item immediately and arrange return of the defective one (we pay shipping)
- Refund: We process a full refund right away and provide a return label
- Partial refund: For items that can still be used despite minor defects, we may offer a partial refund
Damage caused during shipping: If the carrier is responsible (often the case with severely damaged packages), we'll work with the carrier on your behalf. Please don't refuse delivery of severely damaged packages—accept them, document the damage with photos, and let us know immediately.
Wrong Item Received
Mistakes happen, but we work hard to prevent them. If you receive the wrong item, we'll fix it right away.

Return the Wrong Item
We provide a prepaid return label. Just pack up the incorrect item and send it back
Important: You won't be charged for shipping on wrong item returns. We cover it entirely.
Late or Missing Refunds
While refunds usually process smoothly, we understand if something goes wrong. Here's what to do if your refund is delayed or missing.
Check These First
- Check your email: Look for refund confirmation from us. Check your spam folder too, just in case.
- Contact your bank: Refunds can take 3–10 business days to appear depending on your financial institution. Your bank can check the status.
- Look at your account statement: Sometimes refunds appear as pending or under a different description
If You Still Don't See Your Refund

Gift Returns
Gifts are special, and we want you to love what you receive. If an item was a gift and it's not quite right, you still have options.
How Gift Returns Work
Store Credit Option:
If the item was a gift and you don't have the original order or receipt, we can process your return as store credit. This way, you can choose something new from our collection—no need to worry about returning funds to the gift-giver.
Refund to Original Purchaser
If the gift-giver would prefer a refund, we can process that too. Here's what you'll need:
- The original order confirmation (the gift-giver should have this)
- Or contact us and we can look it up by the gift-giver's email address or phone number
Once verified, we'll process the refund back to the original payment method. There's no time limit on this—if someone gives a gift, we honor returns as long as the item meets return conditions.
